Our team

Mr. Morabito is a member of the Strategic Value Partners’ U.S. investment team and leads the firm’s day-to-day global aircraft investing activities.

Prior to joining Strategic Value Partners, Mr. Morabito served as Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at EnTrust Global’s Blue Sky Aviation Funds, which focused on relative value investments in the commercial aviation industry. From 2001 to 2017, Mr. Morabito worked at CIT Group, Inc., most recently serving as Managing Director and Head of the Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Morabito served on the senior leadership team of CIT Aerospace, an aviation portfolio with over $10 billion in aircraft assets on lease to airlines globally. In 2017, Mr. Morabito played an instrumental role in selling the CIT Aerospace business to HNA Group.

Mr. Morabito received a BS in Business Administration and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Diarmuid Hogan is our Chief Financial Officer, and leads the finance team within Deucalion Aviation. Diarmuid has over 25 years of experience in the aircraft leasing industry.  Prior to Deucalion, Diarmuid was CFO for GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), with responsibility to lead all global finance activities for that business.  He also had global responsibilities for IT and Operations within GECAS.

Diarmuid is originally from Ireland.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from University College Dublin and is a qualified Chartered Accountant through KPMG.

Diarmuid is an avid golfer and a massive Liverpool football fan.

Bertrand has almost 40 years of aviation and transport finance experience.  A former Executive Board Member of DVB Bank SE, he previously held senior roles with Citibank, Credit Agricole Indosuez and Banque Indosuez and is currently an independent aviation consultant.  Bertrand is a non-executive director and member of the Audit committee of Ryanair and is also a non-executive director of Jazeera Airways (a publicly listed company on the Kuwait Stock Exchange).

Bjorn is a Senior Vice President looking after airline relationships in Europe. With 20 years of aviation experience, Bjorn started his career in aviation/structured finance at Fortis Bank and ING Bank in The Netherlands. Since joining Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2007, Bjorn has worked in Aviation Research (Rotterdam), Aviation Finance (London) and Aviation Asset Management (London/Amsterdam).

Fun fact

Bjorn just can’t stop watching/doing/attending/talking about any kind of sports, and usually cracks a (pretty bad) joke at about 16.00 every day in the office.

Antoine is Senior Vice President focusing on airlines relationships in Western and Southern Europe as well as North Africa. Antoine also looks after aircraft trading activities. With 20 years of aviation experience, Antoine started his aircraft leasing career with BAE Systems Regional Aircraft before joining GE Capital Aviation Services as Vice-President Capital Markets and subsequently taking on roles at GE in the UK and US before joining Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2016 in London.

Antoine worked as an air traffic controller in the French Navy.

Joe is a Senior Vice President in Marketing, focusing on airlines, lessors and owners in the North America, Canada and Latin America. Joe has over 35 years of aviation experience, formerly holding executive, partnership, and board level roles with aircraft leasing companies ranging from large leasing companies (GECAS) to a private equity start-up (Q Aviation). Joe began his career in 1983 in engineering with McDonnell Douglas, Long Beach California.

Fun fact

Joe played on a National Champion (American) football team in college.

William joined Deucalion in June of 2023 and is a member of the sales and marketing team. He supports the sales team with market research, covering airlines and the part-out market. In addition, he also assists the marketing team with aircraft sales and placements. William holds an MSc in Aviation Finance from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a BA in History, with minors in finance and economics from Boston College.

William is a keen golfer.

Jack is an Assistant Vice President on the Investments team. He is based in Deucalion’s New York office and is focused on our aircraft origination and pricing activities. Jack has over 6 years of experience in investment and advisory services. Prior to Deucalion, Jack was an Associate at Onex Transportation Partners where he focused on the evaluation, execution and management of middle-market transportation investments. Jack began his career in the Power & Industrial Technology investment banking group at Stephens.

Jack is a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Ben is an Assistant Vice President on the Investments team. He is based in Deucalion’s New York office and is focused on our aircraft origination and pricing activities. Ben has 2 years of experience in aviation investment services. Prior to Deucalion, Ben was an Investment Analyst at Aero Capital Solutions where he focused on the evaluation, underwriting and management of mid-life aircraft investments. Ben holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in Finance from the McCombs School of Business.

Ben is a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Rohin is an experienced credit risk analyst focusing on the aviation sector, with extensive experience within the asset management sector. Rohin has extensive experience within the asset management sector. Prior to becoming a credit risk analyst, Rohin spent 15 years within investment management where he enjoyed a significant role at Aviva Investors as a Global Sovereign Bond Senior Fund Manager, managing over £5bn in assets. Rohin’s aviation career began 8 years ago as Chief Aviation Analyst at UK Export Finance, before joining Novus Aviation Capital on a consultancy basis and subsequently joining DVB Aviation Asset Management as a Credit Consultant in January 2021.

Rohin enjoys adventurous holidays, he has trekked through the Amazon rainforest and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Toby is Head of Asset Management and oversees the negotiation, analysis and management of our aircraft leasing and sale transactions, and also the management of our servicing relationships with our lessor customers. Toby started his aircraft leasing career with BAE Systems in the mid-90s and set up Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) with Jon Skirrow and Les Walsh in 2007.

In 2011 Toby rowed across the Atlantic with a colleague – reports of him doing so naked are unsubstantiated.

Mark is a Senior Vice President in Asset Management, focusing on the negotiation and implementation of lease agreements; sale and purchase and lease novation documentation; delivery and redelivery arrangements, and aircraft servicing and remarketing agreements. Mark also manages the commercial and contractual aspects of non-performing lessees and the recovery of distressed aircraft. Since starting his aviation career as an English qualified solicitor in London over 20 years ago, Mark has worked in a variety of private practice and in-house roles in the aviation industry including spending 10 years in Airbus’ Legal Department in Toulouse before joining Deucalion (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2017.

Mark is renovating an early 19th century farm house in the countryside northeast of Toulouse.

Rick is Head of Asset Management, focusing on the analysis, negotiation and implementation of leases, sale agreements, and other transactions. Rick joins Deucalion from a 19 year career at Virgin Atlantic which spanned engineering and operational roles culminating in his final position as Head of Fleet, looking after all the airline’s aircraft and engine transactions. Prior to his time at Virgin, Rick spent a number of years as an engineer at British Airways.

Rick is a petrol head and enjoys keeping his engineering skills honed on his old Land Rovers.

Jonathan is a Senior Vice President in Asset Management, responsible for transacting and project managing a range of leasing and sale transactions, applying a blend of contract, asset management and technical expertise. With seven years’ experience in the commercial aviation industry, Jonathan started his career as a qualified lawyer in asset finance, before joining Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2017.

Jonathan enjoys hiking and climbing mountains.

Charlotte is a Vice President in Asset Management, responsible for the commercial team’s deals specifics, general portfolio analysis work, and providing other more general support to the commercial team’s business winning function. She began her career in aviation with AerData before joining Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2015, performing lease management and project management roles.

Charlotte lived in Qatar for 11 years, but has never flown with Qatar Airways.

Clive is a Vice President in Asset Management. Clive previously worked for Lloyds Banking Group before joining DVB Aviation Asset Management in 2018 as systems administrator and then moving over into a Contract Officer role within the Lease Management team. Clive looks after the general day-to-day management and administration of a variety of third party aircraft portfolios.

Fun fact

Clive has flown in and out of what is often described as the world’s most dangerous airport, the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla, Nepal in order to hike to and from Mount Everest’s base camp.

John is a Senior Technical Manager responsible for the transition of aircraft between sellers and buyers. John has 42 years’ experience in aviation, the first 12 in the Royal Air Force. John is a Part 66 licenced Engineer with British Airways and has held various positions including Continued Airworthiness Manager (CAA Form 4 Post Holder). He has been with Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) since 2010.

John is a highly rated women’s volleyball coach.

Anthony is a Senior Technical Manager with Deucalion Aviation with over thirty years’ experience in the aviation industry, having been trained as a licenced aircraft mechanic at Air New Zealand and Ansett New Zealand. Anthony now has 13 years’ experience in aircraft leasing, specialising in project management and Aircraft transitions.

Fun Fact

Anthony enjoys various hobbies including restoring classic American muscle cars, boating and fishing.

Mathew he is a Senior Project Manager with responsibility for transitions within the managed fleet in Asia and Australasia. He has 29 years’ experience in aviation starting in commercial aircraft line and heavy maintenance environments before moving over to the aircraft leasing side of the industry in 2003 to manage aircraft transitions and delivery programs for various lessors.

Mathew owns a pub in Portugal.

Ronan is a Senior Vice President with 30 years of experience in the Aviation industry. Ronan is responsible for all technical aspects of aircraft asset management, including: project management, technical consulting, records preparation and reconstruction, liaising with various national aviation authorities to process transition of aircraft, dealing with suppliers and OEMs on behalf of clients

Hugh is a Senior Technical Manager responsible for providing technical consultancy/project management services for projects including aircraft transitions, physical inspections, records reviews and presentations. Hugh has 42 years’ experience in aviation and has been providing technical services to Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) since 2009. Hugh is a CAA Part 66 licenced engineer and previous roles include working with Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), and British Airways Maintenance in Cardiff, following 15 years in the Royal Air Force.

If Hugh hadn’t entered the aviation world, he would be destined for a teaching role.

Francis is a Senior Vice President and responsible for asset induction analysis, pre-purchase, non-lease managed and distressed assets, repossessions, as well as new and external business opportunities. Francis joined Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2012 but has worked as a consultant for the company since 2008. He has 21 years of aviation experience including as an aircraft engineer at Lufthansa Technik, as well as various roles in commercial, helicopter and general aviation.

Fran spends his spare time collecting and restoring rare classic cars as well as building and flying microlight aircraft.

Richard is currently SVP Engines Technical/Marketing within Deucalion’s Technical department. His current responsibilities include: Leading the technical and marketing efforts for managed engines; Responsible for keeping up to date on new and current technology engines, as well as developing a marketing strategy for the company’s end-life engine products. Richard has spent close to 30 years working in the aviation industry occupying a wide variety of roles.

Richard and a friend flew around Australia in a Mooney M20J.

Michael is a Senior Technical Manager where his primary role is to carry out aircraft transitions, mid-lease inspections and records building. Michael has over forty years’ experience in military and civil aviation, and has worked and lived in the Middle East and multiple locations in Europe throughout his working career.

Chok joined Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2017, and is a Technical Manager focused on lease management, interaction with airlines for surveys, maintenance reserve claim management and technical due diligence. Prior to joining Deucalion, Chok was in the production planning department for a Taiwanese airline and begun his career at a leading Asian MRO as an aircraft maintenance engineer.

Chok gave up becoming a semiconductor engineer which is the most competitive job in Taiwan to join the aviation industry.

Andrew joined Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2017 as a Technical Manager and is focused on project management and aircraft deliveries. Andrew begun his aviation career with the Taiwan Army Aviation Command maintaining AH-1W Cobra Helicopters. After being discharged, Andrew joined the production planning department for a Taiwanese airline overseeing aircraft redeliveries and the introduction of new aircraft into the fleet.

The reason for Andrew’s discharge was because he received too many Dear John letters.

Patrick’s career in the aviation industry started in 2014 in the production planning department of an airlines in Taiwan. With practical experience in continuous airworthiness management and leased aircraft redeliveries, Patrick started with Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2017 by providing services for technical documentation review and aircraft physical inspections at mid-lease and during redelivery. He’s also been involved in lease management activities focusing on fleet monitoring and aircraft storage management since 2020.

Patrick majored in astronomy.

Karena started with Deucalion in February 22 as the Technical Administrator. Karena previously worked for CBRE as a Executive Assistant and was employed by them for 9 years.

Karena lived in London for 18 years before moving home to Ireland.

Emma is Head of Lease Management. Emma joined Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2017 as a Contract Officer following a year in the compliance department at DVB Bank SE. After two years, Emma took on the manager role and now leads the team in the management of over 140 aircraft.

Emma worked as Cabin Crew for Virgin Australia for three and a half years

Naz is Assistant Vice President and joined Deucalion Aviation team as lease manager in 2022, where she is focused on contracts and oversees the day-to-day management of portfolio aircraft. Prior to this, Naz worked at World Star Aviation as a contract manager. She began her career in aviation with DVB Bank in 2011 and worked in invoicing and as a lease manager within the bank until 2018.

Naz is a qualified gym instructor.

Mandeep works in Lease Management where he is focused on contracts and oversees the day-to-day management of portfolio aircraft. He joined Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in 2018. Mandeep has previously worked as a data analyst for Huntswood, Momenta and Lloyds Banking Group.

In his youth, Mandeep had professional football trials with Queens Park Rangers FC.

Fact works in Lease Management and is responsible for the day-to-day lease management of a growing portfolio of aircraft for which Deucalion Aviation acts as servicer. In 2020, Fact joined Deucalion (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) in London working in Invoicing. Previously, Fact worked in various roles for Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays and Credit Suisse.

Fact shook hands with John Travolta and met his family in Los Angeles in 2009.

Karina is a Vice President in the Finance & Operational Risk team. Karina has 10 years of finance experience including seven years within the financial services sector. Prior to joining Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Investment Management) in 2020, she worked for Autonomous Research primarily focusing on its Hong Kong operations. Karina started her career in the NHS, before moving into the private sector with London Square Developments.

Karina is a Trustee of the Ealing Foodbank.

Rishta is Vice President in the Finance and Operational Risk team, where she oversees all invoice management as well as project accounting and reporting. Rishta has worked for Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) since 2018 and previously worked for Lloyds Banking Group and Investec Specialist Bank on various projects.

Rishta is a big fan of F1 and loves driving fast cars, a highlight being when she drove an Ariel Atom and Nissan GTR at their top speeds.

Natalie is an Assistant Vice President in the Finance and Operational Risk team, focusing on insurance and other administrative duties. Natalie previously worked in the finance team at UBS Global Asset Management and joined Deucalion Aviation (previously DVB Aviation Investment Management) in 2007. Prior to this, she joined DVB Bank SE in 2002 to set up the Finance function in London.

Natalie is a Brown Belt in Judo and has won many competitions in the UK and France.

Julia provides support for all of Deucalion Aviation’s invoicing activities, as well as some ad-hoc secretarial support for the team where required. Julia initially started with Deucalion (previously DVB Aviation Asset Management) as an Executive Assistant, before moving into invoicing. Previously she worked in various roles at DVB Bank SE.

Julia spends time pulling pints in her local craft brewery.

Rob is an Accounting Analyst in the Finance & Operational Risk Team. Since graduating from University, Rob has worked in finance, achieving his Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualifications in 2023 whilst working in audit.

Rob studied abroad in Australia for a year during his time at University and is a big Newcastle United fan.

Mary is a solicitor with extensive experience in aircraft financing, leasing and trading for both debt and equity and joined Deucalion Aviation Limited in March 2022. She worked in the global asset finance team of both Clifford Chance and Norton Rose Fulbright for over 18 years as a transaction lawyer acting for a number of major banks, servicers and lessors and has done secondments at Airbus, GECAS and Avolon.

When Mary was living and working in Toulouse, she went through 5 rental cars in 6 months. This was not the record!

Nesli is Vice President and joined Deucalion Aviation team as compliance officer in 2022. Prior to this, Nesli worked in MUFG client onboarding team. She began her career in aviation with DVB Bank in 2012 and has worked in various roles within the bank until 2019.

Nesli used to be HR professional in automotive company for three and a half years.

Paul is our Chief Human Resources Officer.  With more than 30 years of experience in Human Resources in professional services, financial services, legal and the life sciences. Paul began his career in the Royal Air Force and has worked globally including spending time in Hong Kong for HSBC. He now lives in London. He is responsible for the delivery of all people aspects of the people agenda. He previously worked on M&A, turnaround and complex global transformation projects.  He provides people insights, strategies and solutions. Paul is a “safe haven” for challenging discussions around the issues that surface during a transformation.

Fun Fact

Paul holds a third-degree black belt in Karate and in his youth, spent time training in Japan.

Joanna is Vice President, Human Resources, and provides a full and comprehensive human resources service to Deucalion Aviation. With over 20 years of experience, Joanna started her human resources career with Butterworths Tolley, subsequently completing roles within the media, television and legal sectors before joining the London human resources department at DVB Bank SE in 2008.

Joanna enjoys horse riding and cross-country trekking.

Natalie is Office Manager for Deucalion Aviation. She joined Deucalion (previously DVB Aviation Investment Management) in 2013 as a Team Assistant.
